Your Daily Tarot Reading: May 4, 2021

It hurts to lose someone or something...

We are going through a major upheaval. We all know someone who has lost a family member or relative, and the process of grieving is not easy.

That's what the Five of Cups represents—loss, disappointment, and sadness. Whether it's a person or a material possession that has been lost, the pain is real.

There is a positive aspect to this card though. There are two cups which are still standing, which points to relationships or emotional connections that are still alive. All is not lost, even though it feels like it is.

If you've lost someone, take all the time you need to grieve, but remember, you don't have to be miserable. Contemplate on what you still have.

If you know someone who's lost someone, please show empathy. Kindness doesn't cost anything. These are trying times and we all need to be there for each other.

Affirmation for today:

"When I surrender my sadness to the Universe, I open myself up to receive unconditional love."
